By far the best place in The Netherlands to learn kitesurfing is Friesland! Surrounded by nature-reserves and bird-nesting sanctuaries.
Shallow water allows you to keep your footing whilst learning the basics of this incredible sport. Very few waves and little chop allows you to focus completely on controlling the kite and mastering the board!
The IJsselmeer coast has a variety of different spots, which each shine with different wind directions. So whatever the conditions, you'll be enjoying some of the best kitesurfing spots in The Netherlands, and of Europe!

"Since 2015 I have had the great pleasure of helping more than 500 people onto the water with a kite in hand. Most aspiring kitesurfers learn the sport in a group format that kitesurfing schools often use, in which you often share your time with two or three others, and so you split the attention of the instructor. This can be fun, but the effectiveness of the learning process is significantly lower.
By far the most effective way to learn the sport is through 1-on-1 sessions (or possibly 1-on-2, so you can share the experience with someone). Because only then will you get the instructor's full attention, and you won't be waiting constantly. In addition, the lessons are constantly adapted to your skills and your way of learning, because everyone absorbs information differently.
With this knowledge in mind, I have set up this concept. It is my goal and mission to offer everyone and anyone who wants to learn this fantastic sport a personal, fun, safe and educational launching-pad into the world of kitesurfing!"

As one of the few kitesurfing schools in the Netherlands, starting from your second or third kitesurfing lesson, we use a BbTalkin Intercom headset that is mounted on your helmet.
This revolutionary technology makes it possible to be in direct contact with me during your entire kitesurfing lesson!
This means that you never have to feel that you are on your own while kitesurfing.
I will give you small instructions at the appropriate times so that you learn kitesurfing even faster and more effectively.
Even if you are an independent kitesurfer and want a refresher kitesurfing lesson or an advanced coaching session, you will reap the benefits. With real-time feedback you can make adjustments while kitesurfing.

At no other kitesurfing school in Friesland your kitesurfing lesson is recorded in real time from the water. This allows you to learn from your mistakes (and successes) while lying on the couch recovering from a good day of kitesurfing!
It's great fun, of course, but also hugely effective, accelerating and improving the learning process, because you can see yourself from a different perspective.
Especially if you can already ride, and you want to learn a specific skill or want to improve your existing skills, these video coaching sessions are of enormous added value.
